Mbuji Cafe is a coffee chain with African theme selling different types of coffee beans from countries over the world and recently opened in Tropicana?City Mall.?It was? at Sunway Giza for quite some years before relocated?in?Subang Carrefour.?Decided to try out this cafe?for its? impressive decor like a? tribal village?(also because Starbucks has? limited choice of food). Find out that part of the money will go back to the Tarzanian Community?after reading their menu.

I was rather disappointed by the food presentation of Bolognese Spaghetti (RM14.90). Served with two slices of garlic bread, but both don?t look very appealing either from its serving and the portion was too small, one is not enough to feed a tiny? hungry me. Moreover, the sauce is ?just enough? for the spaghetti and the? meat chunks can barely count with fingers.

Cheese Mushroom Bruschetta (RM9.90). The baguette bread slices are too thin and the bread tore apart as you lift it up caused by the soggy topping. Overall the taste is quite good except it was overly spicy.

Flat White (RM9.20) and Caf? Latte (RM9.20) is the only satisfying thing of the entire meal. The coffee is not too bad, but Flat White tastes better! Both flat white and caf? latte are said to be almost similar except that both have the different ratio of milk and espresso. Flat white originated in the Australia in the late 1970?s and contains more milk foam than caf? latte, traditionally served in a ceramic cup, if you want to know.

Assorted pastries (cookies, macaron, brownies, cup cakes etc) are available here. I have not tried their pastries personally but the amount of cream / icing / colouring used for topping? held me back (not sure if it?s? an aging symptom or me being overly health conscious).

Despite the food, I don?t mind to continue my coffee adventure with Mbuji Caf? since they serve nice coffee? and also something ?different?? like Coffee Orange and Coffee Mint. Hope to see?improvement in food?next time I return.
